Seems eternal – the landscape does not change drastically in the winters or summers. It’s the foothills of Eastern Himalayas, also known as the Dooars, an area famous for its tea plantations and forests. Yet it’s fragile – economic development or ecological change have not touched it in a big way. The question is would this beautiful place change for the worse if development spreads? And is there a just reason for not developing these areas?
