In a tram, Kolkata

You make me proud,

you make me despair –

all at one point in time –

in fact on a single day –

but for different reasons.

Just when I breathe

a sigh of relief

at your sensibleness,

you go ahead and

break into a nonsensical

(at least to me it is) dance.

At the end of the day,

I feel I am back

to square one.

Perhaps tomorrow will

bring better or different tides.
